Licensed California CPA with a master's degree in economics and more than 14 years of experience serving individuals, businesses and nonprofits.
My Story
I was always passionate about numbers, but math, by itself, felt quite boring to me. So, I chose economics as my college major. Economics taught me to look at the real world through the prism of numbers and facts.
After getting my master's degree in economics, it was not a question for me whether or not I should get a CPA license. It was just a matter of time.
I worked for a CPA firm for a number of years while preparing to sit for the exam. Even then, I was already thinking about building a practice of my own, where I could work directly with clients.
By then, my husband was already running his own successful law practice and encouraged me to open a practice of my own. After I got my CPA license, I left my full-time job and focused on building my own practice.
Today I am really enjoying running my own practice. It allows me to manage a healthy work-life balance and spend more time with my family. It also gives me a unique opportunity to meet new people and to help them resolve their accounting issues and tax related challenges.
